            I hope you all had a wonderful Holi. This spring brings a special feeling of freshness that we have not felt in a while. Last year with the relentless series of devastation caused by the tsunami, hurricanes, and earthquake something hopeful rose out of all the chaos- our compassion and with it, perhaps a clarified sense of perspective.

            With that in mind our constructive efforts to beautify our own backyard has come a long way. Our pictures on the website gives you a glimpse of the progress we have made so far. Still a lot has to be done before the monsoons arrive in May/ June.

            Here below is also a brief account of our progress:

Major roads will be completed by April 19^th.

Navi line falia completed.

Bawa falia completed.

Tar falia near completion.

Darji falia near completion.

All falia’s water pipeline completed.

Waterworks building  / renovation in process.

Sewage lines near completion.

Money collected 135 lakhs

Expenditure         100 lakhs

Projected expenditures   180 lakhs

Shortfall  45 lakhs

            We the committee thank you all for your generous contributions from all over the world. We cannot say enough about your generosity and compassion for our motherland. However, we are short of funds and we would like to appeal to each one of you to dig down deeper and help complete our cause. Economically, as we all bask in our individual successes some more fortunate than others, our hope is that those blessed help carry more of our monetary burden than others.
